Home Plate Bar & Grill Bartender Picked For All-Star MLB Wedding

Houston, TX – Monday July 6, 2011 – Home Plate Bar & Grill’s bartender, Joe Curiale and his fiancé Dolly West will be the first-ever MLB fans to receive the All Star FanFest Wedding on Juy 12, 2011.

Curiale & West were chosen by Major League Baseball and a panel of celebrity judges that included David Tutera of  ”My Fair Wedding”, Tom Papa of “The Marriage Ref”, Jenni Croft Badolato of “The Bachelor” and Luis Gonzalez, the MLB All-Star Ambassador.

The two Astros fans met in Texas; and were selected after competing against other couples by submitting a video explaining why they should be married at the All-Star FanFest.

Curiale and West met while beginning their career as flight attendants; and often visit MLB ballparks. They have seen more than 20 games together during flight layovers. In a statement to MLB.com, West said “Baseball is more than just a game to us, it’s a way for us to be together.”

The MLB winning wedding package includes roundtrip airfare, tickets to the All-Star Game at Chase Field in Phoenix, a ceremony on the Diamond at FanFest, and a catered reception.

In conjunction with the 2011 All-Star Game festivities in Phoenix, FanFest serves as a five-day launch for MLB All-Star Week; and includes a Hall of Fame exhibit, batting cages, clinics, autograph sessions, memorabilia and more.

Home Plate Bar & Grill congratulates Joe Curiale and Dolly West on winning this incredible wedding package.
